After gaining his first professional experience at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property (in the trademark and patent divisions), Stefan Hubacher joined FMP Fuhrer Marbach & Partner in 2008. His practice focuses on intellectual property law and on the intersection of law, marketing, and communication. He advises clients in particular on the development of trademark strategies, the building of IP portfolios, and their defense in case of disputes. Given the inherently international nature of this work, Stefan Hubacher maintains a global network of like-minded, independent correspondent attorneys and is a member of several specialized international organizations (including INTA, ECTA, and GRUR). He also serves as a permanent editor of the journal sic! for intellectual property law and regularly lectures and publishes on various IP-related topics.
